COURSE OUTLINE  – CHC43415 – Certificate IV in Leisure and Health

This qualification covers the design, implementation and evaluation of health and leisure activities. This Leisure and Health Certificate IV is part of an exciting and diverse career pathway in the community services and healthcare sectors. The Aged Care sector, in particular, has identified a barrier to leisure and lifestyle activities, to keep residents interacting and engaged with friends and family members, complete this and you will be able to identify and then modify activities to suit individual’s needs.

A Leisure and Health qualification will allow you to work in a range of fields and industries, and can provide employment in residential aged care facilities, respite work, in drug and alcohol rehabilitation or even as a tourism officer or tour guide! You could be working within the community in divisional therapy, with the disabled as a support worker assisting people with social inclusion or in correctional services.

Structured activities for our aged and disabled population have a significant positive impact on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. In this course you will learn how to design, develop and deliver activity programs – and put a smile on your clients dial!

This qualification allows you to branch out, without being stuck in the Health Industry – though if that’s what you’re after, these are the Health-related career opportunities for you:
