Already working in the aged care, health or community services sector? Are you looking to expand your existing skill set? Do you have a requirement to upgrade your skills or are you looking to move into a new area or specialise?

These short courses have been specifically designed to meet the ever-changing needs of industry and to enable to you to undertake training to deliver best practice within your workplace. Students enrolling in these short courses will already be employed in a community services sector and funded places are available.

Course Outline Part Qualification (Statement of Attainment)

Social activity is good for psychological, emotional and physical well-being. For most people participating in these activities is taken for granted, however not everyone experiences this.

COURSE DELIVERY:
  • This program will show you how to plan and deliver leisure activities to a range of people with disabilities, older people, those in respite and those with variable education and diverse backgrounds.
  • This course contains four units of competency and on successful completion, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment from CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability.
Place:
  • Batemans Bay, Ulladulla and Merimbula
  • This program will be offered as a day or evening course.
Fee:
  • Funded places are available which may entitle you to a fee-free scholarship or subsidy, please contact the College to determine your eligibility.
  • This training is subsidised by the NSW Government
Medications Upgrade

Course Outline Part Qualification (Statement of Attainment)

Many existing workers in the community services and health sector are required to upskill their credentials in the critical area of medications administration. This course will take you through the requirements of not only assisting clients with their medication but also administering medication on their behalf.

COURSE DELIVERY:
  • Covering best practice and legislation, this program is delivered by our team of Registered Nurses.
  • It is essential that you are currently working in a facility with access to clients as you will need to undertake an assessment in your workplace.
  • This course contains two units of competency and on successful completion, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment from CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
Place:
  • Batemans Bay, Ulladulla and Merimbula
  • The theoretical component of this course will be delivered on our campus and the program will be offered as a day or evening course.
Fee:
  • Funded places are available which may entitle you to a fee free scholarship or subsidy, please contact the College to determine your eligibility.
  • This training is subsidised by the NSW Government
