COURSE OUTLINE – Full Qualification in Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015) + Access to UOW Bridging Program
This program will provide you with the training and skills development to assist you to gain work in the healthcare sector and prepare you for higher education at University. On completion, you will have access to a range of University courses.
In care facilities, any currently unqualified staff must now hold a formal qualification. This course will provide you with the training and skills development to assist you to gain or retain work in the healthcare sector, Aged and Disability Support. Completion of full qualification will prepare you for the sector and build foundational knowledge.
This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisational guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation, and review of individualised service planning and delivery.
Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters.
- Completion of a full Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015) plus enjoy 120 hours of work placement in a local facility to gain practical skills and knowledge
- Students can attend University Campus to complete a university preparation bridging program (optional)
