About The Program
This non-accredited program offers a practical introduction to key digital skills for everyday life, work and community participation. Sessions are designed to build confidence through hands-on, supported learning at an accessible level.
Participants will explore the following focus areas:
- Digital Foundations (DFADF) – building confidence using devices and navigating everyday digital tasks
- Everyday Numeracy with Technology (DFAENT) – using simple digital tools for budgeting, tracking and calculations
- Online Safety, Cyber Awareness and Emerging Technology (DFAOSCAET) – staying safe online and understanding new technologies, including AI
- Operate Smart Devices and Edit Digital Images (OSDEDI) – using smart devices to capture, manage and edit images
These sessions provide a supported entry point into our 16-week “Digital Skills for Life and Work” program, which develops broader digital literacy, confidence and independence across a range of real-world applications.

Who is This Program For?
This course is designed for adults looking to improve their confidence with technology in a supportive, practical learning environment to prepare to return to work, or to reskill and upskill for their existing or desired career path.
You might benefit from this course if you:
- Want to build confidence to use everyday digital technology in a friendly, supportive group environment.
- Want to manage photos, social media, music, apps, and smart devices.
- Want to explore safe online practices, cybersecurity, and ways to protect personal information.
- Are wanting to improve your digital skills and confidence from Pre-Level 1 or Level 1 to Level 2.
- You can check your digital skills and confidence level by completing the Digital Learning Assessment Tool (DLAT) and calculating your results:
- ‘6–12 = Pre-Level 1 – Requires structured guidance. Basic awareness of devices, simple one-step digital tasks.
- 13–18 = Level 1 – Can complete basic tasks with support. Understands familiar software and communication tools.
- 19–24 = Level 2 – Performs familiar digital tasks with minimal help. Can search, communicate, and stay safe.
- 25–30 = Level 3+ – Confident and independent. Can adapt, troubleshoot, and critically engage with technology.’
- You can check your digital skills and confidence level by completing the Digital Learning Assessment Tool (DLAT) and calculating your results:
