Welcome to Pearla Albert

South Coast Community College is delighted to announce the appointment of Pearla Albert in the role of Indigenous Outreach Support Officer. 

Pearla Albert is a Walbanja woman with connections to Gumbaynggirr, Bunaba, Yawuru and Baniol/Bardi.   She grew up in Mogo, her mother’s country, and also lived in Yawuru Country (Broome) Western Australia her father’s country. She now lives with her children in the Eurobodalla region. 

In Pearla’s role with SCCC she will work with the local indigenous community via upskilling training opportunities and facilitating career paths for participants of SCCC traineeships and courses.  She will also engage with local business and government bodies.  

Pearla has a long tradition in storytelling and is passionate about her family history and sharing her ancestors’ own stories and journeys which connects her and her community back to country.  She is an advocator of her families’ traditional and contemporary art practices.   

We all look forward to working with Pearla and know she will be a great addition to the SCCC team.
