CHCSS00067 – Administer and Monitor Medications Skill Set 

This skill set reflects the skill requirements to assist with the administration and monitoring of medications.  This skill set covers he skills and knowledge required to administer medications to people and monitor them, as per the delegation from a relevant health professional, in accordance with legislation and the employing organisation’s medication and delegation policies and practice.  In addition,  In addition, this course covers basic information about the human body and the ability to recognise and promote ways to maintain healthy functioning. 

Career Opportunities

Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into a range of other community services qualifications. These units provide credit towards a range of qualifications in the CHC Community Services Training Package or HLT Health Training Package at Certificate IV and Diploma level.   Potential employment options are as a direct support worker in aged care, disability, home and community care or other direct care work in the community services industry.
