CHCSS00133 – Induction to Disability Support Skill Set
This course covers skills for supporting the induction of new workers into a variety of roles supporting people with disability. This skill set will cover skills to work effectively in disability support including communicating with and empowering those receiving support. Students will also learn how to work safely while providing direct client care.
Career Opportunities
Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into a range of other community services qualifications. These units provide credit towards a range of qualifications in the CHC Community Services Training Package and HLT Health Training Package, in particular to the Certificate III in Individual Support. Potential employment options are as a direct support worker in aged care, disability, home and community care or other direct care work in the community services industry.
