SITHGAM022 Provide Responsible Gambling Services
The need to provide responsible gambling services is an essential underpinning skill for all hospitality personnel involved in the sale and service of gambling activities in licensed premises. This course provides the skills and knowledge required to maintain gaming machines, make payouts on them, check the security of gaming areas, and provide advice on games offered by the organisation.
Target Audience
- Anyone seeking to work in hospitality venues where gaming is in operation.
Physical Requirements for the Course and Related Occupations
Participants should be able to:
- Sit or stand for moderate periods during training and assessment activities
- Move safely within a simulated or real hospitality or gaming environment
- Read and interpret gaming signage, payout tables, and identification documents
- Hear and respond clearly to trainer instructions and role-play interactions
- Maintain focus and attention during simulated gaming scenarios (Note: Physical demands are minimal, but basic mobility, vision, and hearing are required to safely participate and meet workplace expectations.)
